Timeline Journaling is a reflective practice that uses journaling notes to help you to soar toward the future you envision!

Goal. Set. Go. planners and journals incorporate timeline journaling, with Personal Timeline pages for you to easily fill in each month.

At the start of each year (or the month you begin Timeline Journaling), set aside Personal Timeline space - two to four blank pages, which you’ll go back and fill in with your most notable experiences from each month.

Throughout each week, reflect on your experiences, being thoughtful of any successes, challenges, and the lessons you learned.

At the end of each week, and as part of your reflective journaling practice, separately write out a brief recap of your reflections that you can easily go back and review for Timeline Journaling.

At the end of each month, fill in blank Personal Timeline space with three to five of your most notable experiences.

Review your Reflection Recaps and go over your goals to objectively assess the month, week-by-week, identifying the Noteworthy Experiences that stand out most. Reflect further on your month overall and time put toward all you accomplished, as well as any barriers you encountered. Use your reflections to identify the experiences that relate most to the progress you’re striving to make, to add to your Personal Timeline.

Throughout the year, periodically revisit your Personal Timeline to set (or re-set) intentions and create new goals when needed.

At the end of each year, you’ll have a truly reflective account of your experiences to easily review as you set goals for a new year.

Timeline journaling can have a big impact on how you go further forward by helping you better understand yourself and your experiences - the processes you use, the time you take, the obstacles you face, the path you follow, and so on. Gift yourself with this simple reflective practice, then use what you learn (from Her-story) to set future goals and go further toward the life you envision, your destiny!
